Who am I

At the beginning of 2025, experience a completely unexpected loss that left me feeling completely adrift and at a loss on what to do next. One of the people supporting me kindly asked what it is I like doing, and when I tentatively offered up reading she replied, “Well. That’s going to be the escape for you. That’s how you’re going to get through this.”

Deciding to go all in on this philosophy, I started this blog with the vague feeling that if I was required to write about the books afterwards, I would really make the efforts to take them in. A project felt like it could help. Something to really get stuck into.

There’s mostly fantasy here as I never quite outgrew my dragon phase. But there’s also romance and mysteries and everything in between. I reach for queer stories and ones with whimsical titles and rarely every read synopses all the way through. I am fully seated for anything involving pirates or witches. Especially if it’s gay.

I hope you find something to love here too. And I hope that whatever happens in your life you are always able to read through it.
